I really like Yan! She can clearly help me learn Cebuano. Her expertise was obvious from her profile given that she has an education degree and experience teaching in a formal classroom setting. During the lesson, she had prepared materials but wasn't hesitant to go off the tracks to adjust to my particular needs. I like to call out, define, write down and create my own flashcards for any words that I find interesting and she easily accommodated this need. There is no need to do this for everyone though - this is just my learning style - she has these materials prepared for a later lesson. I am just eager and like to learn in my own way :) I have only had one lesson but I bought 5 more. I am sure Yan is a great teacher!

Yan is very knowledgeable and patient. I enjoyed my first class, and I learned some new basics of Tagalog. It is going to be a tough beginning, but hopefully, things will make sense later. Thank you!
