Hi! My name is Armin. I am a native English/Farsi speaker but that’s not all! I’m a polyglot.
I have a BA in American literature, with a minor in Language Teaching, and a Master's degree in US History where I specialized in the history of citizenship in the United States. I am now working on my PhD in English Literature at the University of Florida.
As an autodidactic polyglot, I am pretty familiar with challenges and tricks of learning languages and I help students overcome and master them.
I have been teaching in different schools in several countries to students of different ages and levels. I am currently a teacher in a junior-high school in Italy.
I have had classes for IELTS & TOEFL preparations, business courses, general English for children and adults and also conversation classes.
During my BA degree in Italy, I obtained extensive training on teaching methods and strategies that next to my long years of practical experience, it makes me a versatile teacher with robust classes that are both friendly and resourceful.
I use text books for beginners and elementary students and articles and podcasts for more independent users.

English TeacherI have been working as a teacher to elementary and junior high school students training the students to participate in Cambridge Young Learner exams. Over the past six years, a high percent of my students have passed their exams with distinction and they have developed a visible interest in learning languages in general. I conduct lessons entirely in English and the students get the chance to improve their understanding very quickly and become active users of English very quickly.

I used to use the latest topics and issues for such classes using articles from magazines or TV programs where students got to enjoy very authentic and up-to-date discussions.

In 2015, the agency decided to include English in its course list. Oh my goodness Armin is the best! I've been having classes with him for a while now, and it's just been great. I can tell that he's adjusted his methods to fit what works best for me, and I can really see the results. I recently had the chance to put it all to the test by going to Italy and needing to communicate with native Italian colleagues... and I could do it for the first time! I didn't need everything translated for me, and I could express myself in complex ways. Surely it wasn't perfect, but it was a huge leap from the last time I was there. I've tried other apps and programs and nothing has worked as well as having consistent lessons with Armin. He's also just a kind and joyful and interesting human being.
