Hi, I’m Pete—an experienced English teacher from the UK, now based in France. I specialise in conversation, Business English, and creative English for learners of all levels.
I help students communicate clearly and confidently in meetings, presentations, interviews, and professional writing. Lessons are always tailored to your role, industry, and personal goals.
I’m also the author of two poetry books and hold a degree in theology, with strong interests in philosophy, writing, and music—interests that often enrich my lessons. Assistant ManagerNew Hope is an independent homeless charity, and the Sanctuary is a project that runs 3 different housing services for the homeless: 2 emergency direct access accommodations; and 1 longer term move-on accommodation. My role included managing and supporting our project workers in their key-working of the service-users and making sure the support offered, advice given and record keeping was up to an exceptional standard. In my role I also provided supervision and appraisals for support staff.

ServerDuties include preparation of the bar, taking orders and payments, learning over 20 smoothie recipes by heart to prepare and serve quickly, washing up and cleaning, managing the production line, receiving and arranging deliveries. I like learning English with Pete. He can customize lessons based on my needs. We can discuss almost any topic with him and he will always be prepared and able to share sth interesting, provide a detailed feedback. He is one of the best teachers I ever meet on Italky and I think all our lessons are precious.
