Cassie Cheng

Cassie is a really great teacher. I’m pretty much an absolute beginner, and she takes the time to meet me right where I’m at. She is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. Since I can’t hold conversations yet, we work through a workbook together, which provides a nice structure. She writes everything down in both pinyin and Chinese characters, which is incredibly helpful at my level. She’s also very flexible—adjusting based on what I want to learn, answering all my questions, and asking me questions along the way to check my knowledge and pronunciation, offering praise and gentle corrections. She assigns homework that matches the amount of practice I’m willing to do, which helps reinforce what we cover in each lesson. She also gives clear advice on what to work on personally to keep improving. I always leave class feeling excited and a little more confident. I look forward to continuing to learn with her!

Cassie is like a breath of fresh air. When you have a question, she listens. When you stress about some grammar or pronunciation, she is there to make that stress go away. Cassie’s lessons like a godsend if a godsend were a Chinese lesson. When we had our lesson we discussed contemporary topics using mandarin. During the lesson she helped me express some writing regarding a question in the homework. I made a mistake and thought, “what is wrong with me?”. However, as aforementioned godsend, she carried my distress away and helped me understand the topic fully and I was very grateful. Thank you Cassie, your lessons are what we aspire to be in life, perfect. Take her classes yall.

The teacher is good and encourage me even teach me and correct me if it's wrong. i use the trial lesson and I really like it
