Having spent six years in Mainland China, I gained firsthand experience learning Mandarin and navigating the challenges of language acquisition. My curiosity spans medicine, psychology, culture, cuisine, travel, and languages, topics I love to explore in conversation. Outside of teaching, I enjoy documentaries, reading, experimenting in the kitchen, and supporting my sister’s Mandarin journey. I love to teach because I can help others improve their skills. It gives me great joy and excitement to see people grow. It's simple to impart language skills, but I want to motivate and empower my students. I also intend to learn as much as I can from them. I'm a very patient and friendly person. It's important that I connect with my students on a personal level which is why I like to get to know my students and perhaps discover common interests so we can build a sustainable teacher-student relationship which makes for an amazing virtual classroom experience.
