Certified Cambridge DELTA instructor of Business and General English with 15 years experience Hi! My name is Kryst. I am American, but I have lived in Europe for over 20 years. At the moment, I am living with my small dog, Gipsy, by the beach. Some of my hobbies are travelling and learning languages. I speak German, Spanish, Dutch and French. I believe that to truly understand a culture, it is better to be able to speak their language. I am a Cambridge DELTA instructor and an American licensed teacher. I also have a degree in Business Administration. For over 15 years, I have been a General and Business English instructor in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. I have extensive experience preparing students for the PET, KET, IELTS, BEC and other proficiency exams. Since I have remained a language learner myself, I realize how important is to have an instructor that is creative, understanding and professional. I know that I possess these qualities. Learning should be enjoyable and beneficial. For each lesson, I set a language objective which should be reached by the end of the session. I try to incorporate the use of all skills in every lesson - listening, reading, writing and a heavy emphasis on speaking. Since each student learns differently, I cater my lessons to each individual's learning style and needs. I try to find learning material that is entertaining and relevant for my lessons such as videos, podcasts or other online sources.
