My name is Clara Cordova and I'm 25 years old. I come from Malta.
I have a BA in English and a Master's Degree (by research) in Second Language Acquisition.
I have been working as a teacher for 4 years now and I am also currently interested in starting a PhD in Forensic Linguistics.
I enjoy going for long walks, BBQs at the beach, watching sunsets, cooking, baking, studying and travelling!Me as a Teacher
I have experience teaching English not only to adults, but also to teenagers and pre-teenagers. I have worked as a teacher both face-to-face and online and I find both experiences satisfactory and enjoyable. I think that as long as the student is willing to learn and as long as the teacher is invested enough in her role, great results can be achieved.My lessons & teaching style

I love adapting to my students' learning style: we are all different! I love having free conversation (when it is productive) and I love following lesson plans which can potentially help the students understand the language structure better. I also enjoy reading articles with students and especially correcting writing tasks and giving feedback. The more mistakes we make, the more feedback we can get, therefore, the more progress we can make!My teaching material

ESL TeacherI started working with EF Malta during my BA. It was a wonderful experience. I got the chance to work with students of all ages and despite the initial challenges, I fell in love with this job. I was able to teach all levels, from A1 to C2 and I enjoyed each and every one of them. I also gave private classes with regular students during the time I was working with EF Malta.
2020 - 2022
ESL TeacherEnglish Live is an online platform which runs 24/7. I am still working as an ESL teacher with English Live and I find it very gratifying. I teach adults, both in Group classes and Private classes. Even on English Live, I teach all levels, starting from Beginner up to Advanced. The lessons I give deal with grammar, vocabulary, conversation, listening and also IELTS or TOEIC preparation.
