I am a certified Spanish teacher from Mexico. Spanish is my native language. I can also speak English, but I like to keep improving. I trained in classical ballet and I had the opportunity to attend a ballet school in Russia for a year. There I also learned some Russian.
I have a degree in Communication Studies and have worked for film and video production companies in Mexico.
Me as a Teacher
I try to have available as many language learning techniques as possible and focus on what works best for each person.
I also try to keep it practical, I want you to experience the language rather than memorizing words and grammar rules. However, if grammar works for you I can prepare step-by-step lessons.
If I give you advice, it means that I have put what I am telling you into practice while learning another language.
More than teaching you I will be training you to use and understand Spanish.My lessons & teaching style
I want you to learn about the topics and vocabulary that you need, or that you are interested in.
I take that as a basis for how to structure the lessons.
I give you exercises that help you discover the language rather than me explaining it to you.
I also give you exercises to practice on your own. I don't want you to memorize words and rules, I want you to practice until you are comfortable listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
Depending on your performance on each of these skills I give you advice on how to improve.My teaching material

I’m convinced Cristian has got to be one of the best teachers on Italki. He is so easy to talk to (even in my limited Spanish), and provides a positive learning environment for his students. I leave his calls feeling confident that I can make a lot of progress in Spanish with his help and inspired to learn more.
