I don’t just teach English, I live in languages and the arts. As a musical theater student (with a background in improv and theater), I bring creativity, spontaneity and the learner’s mindset into my classes so students feel guided, not judged. Theater taught me that repetition is what makes expression live in the body; and language works the same way.
I also use meditation to help shift limiting thoughts into a growth mindset, because learning starts in the mind. I teach with empathy, adapting exercises, reformulating when needed, and adjusting my style to each student’s pace, needs, and emotional state.
For me, language is an art that trains the mind and expands who we are.
Me as a Teacher
I hold a degree in English Philology and have been teaching for almost six years—time really does fly!
My teaching approach centers on truly listening to my students and understanding their unique needs, as I believe that language becomes most effective when it aligns with your interests and passions.
Whether you're diving into perfecting pronunciation, refining grammar or exploring cultural nuances, our lessons will be tailored to your goals.
With this in mind, I’m always excited to learn from my students, so feel free to share any topic you're passionate about—I'm here to explore it with you!
My lessons & teaching style
Once we get to know each other and understand your specific needs, my lessons are structured around the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) model.
This approach ensures that we have time for interactive activities, independent practice, and immediate feedback.
I incorporate games to set the mood and review vocabulary, along with discussions, grammar exercises, and focused pronunciation and intonation sessions (which I pay particular attention to).
While I generally follow a project-based learning approach, where each lesson builds on the last, I’m flexible and can adapt the method to best suit your learning style and schedule ;)

James is attentive, engaging and knowledgable. He comes up with creative ideas for working on a specific issue (in my case, pronunciation). I highly recommend working with him.
