Experienced tutor of over 4 years - Conversational practice, Business/Academic English (IELTS) A two time graduate in Human resource management and Marketing respectively. I have over 3 years experience of teaching English as a volunteer for a NPO and have been trained as a mentor at one of the best University of Technology in Africa. Besides being an academic, I am an artist - I am a spoken word poet, violinist, singer and dancer. My first point of entry to teaching would be finding out from the learner what are their focus points, that is areas that they want to sharpen, what kind of learner they are so that when rolling out their lesson plan it's in a form which they can easily understand. My major strength has to be my patience - always making sure that the learner is confident with themselves and what they have learnt after every class. My lesson plans will be inclusive of beginner, intermediate and advanced learning ass well as kids learning plan My teaching style is inclusive of Total Physical Response (TPR), demonstrative style - that is after every topic learnt we have to go through an activity which will show a point of understanding and what needs to be polished or attended to again.
