Hi, I’m Nam. I was born and raised in Germany and have Vietnamese roots. I grew up bilingual, so German and Vietnamese are both part of my background. I have spent most of my life in Germany, but I have also lived in Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand. This international background helps me understand the challenges of learning a language and using it confidently in real-life situations.

Me as a Teacher

I focus on helping students actually speak German with confidence. Many learners understand grammar but struggle to express themselves in real conversations — that’s exactly what we work on together. In my lessons, we: - practice real-life conversations (daily life, work, travel) - improve pronunciation and sentence structure - learn grammar in a practical and easy-to-understand way I teach students from A1 to C1 and also prepare learners for exams like Goethe. Every lesson is structured but adapted to your personal goals. If you want to feel more confident speaking German, I’m here to help.

My lessons & teaching style

My lessons are tailored to your level, goals, and learning style. I teach students from beginner to advanced (A1–C2), but I always focus on practical communication. In real life, people don’t speak like in textbooks — that’s why I use real materials such as articles, videos, and everyday topics. Over the years, I’ve seen that the most effective way to learn a language is through active communication. Speaking regularly with a native speaker helps you improve faster, build confidence, and use the language naturally. My goal is to make you feel comfortable speaking German in real situations.

Nam is an incredible German teacher. He is great at explaining every concept and introduces them in a digestible, well-paced manner. I never feel rushed or pressured and always feel prepared by the time the next topic is introduced. He is calm, reassuring and respectful so I am never nervous. I really appreciated this first conversation with Nam. He took the time to introduce himself and ask questions in order to assess my German.
