Teaching languages in a fun, conversational way since 2014. I grew up in Croatia and since my parents are Albanian, my second native language is Albanian. I lived in the US for a few years. I have also learned Bulgarian, but not on a teaching level (I'm a 7 out of 10). Hi there potential student 😃 here's what you need to know about me in a nutshell - I've been teaching languages since 2014 and what I've found is that most people don't like learning from boring grammar books. Why? Because you can waste months learning complex grammar rules and when you actually arrive at your destination, you are shocked when you realize you are not able to order food or have a simple conversation with a local. In my experience, most people prefer learning a language through simple everyday conversations. So this is exactly how I teach, beginning with everyday small talk and transitioning to more sophisticated topics. If you are a complete beginner, I have a document for you with basic words and phrases. However, if you are somewhat fluent in the language, then we can immediately begin having fun and interesting conversations. I will of course correct you along the way, usually through typing, since I prefer letting my students speak as much as possible with minimal interruptions.

Native Serbian teacher with 10+ years of experience Hello, my name is Nađa (Nadja) Gavran and I'm a graduated musicologist from the university of Pecs in Hungary. I was born and raised in Serbia and my family has for generations lived in all of the countries of ex-Yugoslavia. I was taught English from early age by my native speaker mother so it’s my second native language. I am interested in all forms of art from music to literature, classical and experimental. I have been teaching English for almost a decade now, I have started giving lesions back in middle school. The age of my students varied from as young as 5 to as old as 65, so I have experience with many different students in many different stages of life. I have taught Serbian to many foreign exchange students in Serbia, they were either an absolute beginners or they were advanced students who just wanted a bit of confidence in their skills. My lesions will try to create a basic understanding of conversational Serbian to beginners. For more advanced students we will try to build more confidence in students speaking skills. Generally the plan is that all students finish their class with more confidence and more appreciation for Serbian language and Serbian culture.
