A great trial lesson! Sav was very clear & helpful, & types out all the phrases in the chat so it is easy to have for later. For my goals it is also great that she knows & loves the aksara Jawa because I want to learn to read the traditional alphabet, as well as (eventually) be conversational in both ngoko & krama registers.

This is the 2nd class with Yacub and again I really enjoyed each minute of it! Time really flies due to how the class is organized. I really appreciate all questions regarding the Javanese language are welcome and Yacub likes to share his knowledge about the deeper meaning of certain words and historical background. This class was quite intensive with a lot of new words which really motivates me to practice, memorize the new words and to learn more.

I am very happy with my first lesson with Cahyo. Although I am not a total beginner I felt I learned a lot in just one lesson. He is very calm and friendly and he put me at ease. He is very knowledgeable and I can tell that he has a passion for his language which he told me he has studied in depth at university level. He explained the expressions and the grammar in a simple way without over-emphasizing in details. Very good teacher overall!

This was my first Javanese lesson with mas Errgy. He is super available for questions and doubts, and shares interesting facts about the language (which makes it easier to memorise vocabulary). I’m looking forward to the next lesson!

This was my 22nd Javanese lesson with Mas Alfan. We went through a picture storybook today, and Mas Alfan narrated the story in Javanese. I was very happy being able to understand 80-90% of the content despite having relatively few lessons hours. Mas Alfan had clear pronunciation and could explain words that I did not understand in Javanese, with minimum use of English and Indonesian. His immersive teaching approach is very helpful in building up listening comprehension in Javanese. I'd recommend Mas Alfan for people who are interested in learning Javanese.
