Learn Norwegian naturally through clear, comprehensible input I want to make sure you're comfortable and truly enjoy our lessons, because that's at the core of taking on something as extensive as language learning. Drilling grammar works for some, but I prefer teaching it in a more natural way. As I'm learning Japanese myself, I've discovered the most powerful way to learn is through "comprehensible input" - messages in the target language that you can actually fully understand. My goal as your teacher is making sure you really understand that you can truly learn the language in a very natural way.

Lilja 百合
Oxford educated linguist with experience in over a dozen languages: Español, 中文, العربية ,עברית I have experience with studying languages in a lot of different settings, and in my teaching I apply the methods that have worked best for me. I will adapt the lessons to you, your current level, and your goals. I find the immersion method to be the most effective, so I will aim to teach in the target language from the beginning. If you are just starting out, don't worry, I will adapt the language and vocabulary to your level, so that you understand. My research background is in both grammar and pronounciation, so I can explain the rules and nuances of Norwegian and English to you, and guide your pronounciation. If you want a deeper understanding, I am always happy to go into the details!

Hi there! I'm Kristina and I can teach you Norwegian =) Do you want to speak Norwegian like a native? Then you're in the right place! I know how challenging it might be to start learning a new language, so here on italki I would like to help you as much as I can with your progress in Norwegian and also to keep your motivation up. During the first lesson I will be able to evaluate your Norwegian proficiency and understand your goals and expectations. Then we move on with learning whatever is important to you at that moment, anything from reading texts and grammar training to conversational practice and pronunciation. The important thing for me is that you’re enjoying the lessons with me and that you feel at ease when practicing Norwegian.

Teaching 11 languages, currently learning 3 more When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our past sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our class, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

Before we begin, information about yourself and the type of lessons / teaching you're looking for is necessary for me to adequately prepare 😊

your language mum from beginner to advanced whether you know 0% norwegian or already slaying - i'll make sure your æ, ø, å's are perfect by guiding you through the treacherous language roads! i truly believe that adult learners put too much pressure on themselves, and refusing to speak a word untill you know you can speak fluently. the problem however is that one cannot become fluent unless you go through the awkward phase of "i need a lot of pauses and know 4 nouns". i'm more than happy to be your friend to be there for you through the "uhmms" and "what is this called in norwegian?" :)

Professional Tutor with 10+ years of experience. *ADHD/Neurodiverse friendly* I have a long history of teaching in a variety of capacities. I have taught in the university and high-school classroom, tutored independently, taught English as a second language, and worked as a university learning specialist for neurodiverse students and students with learning disabilities. I think that patience, empathy, and enthusiasm are some of the most important characteristics that a teacher can have, and I believe that when I meet my students where they are, we can achieve great things. I like to incorporate my students' interests into my teaching, because that usually makes progress happen faster, and it always makes it more enjoyable.

I'm a perfectionist. I like to see my students succeed. My students have a very high (above 90%) success rate when it comes to passing their language exams. Having been a language learner by myself, I have unbeatable strategies to pass even the most difficult exams (IELTS, TOEFL, FCE). Having learnt different languages allows me to shift between grammatical terms and explanations easily: if you learn Hungarian with me, you can be sure that I can relate it to one of the other languages you are speaking - thus making it easier and easier to proceed! :)Call me now to get a trial lesson with me! :))

Trøndersk dialect (Trondheim/Trøndelag area) I want to make you comfortable with making mistakes. My priority is making the process enjoyable and fun, instead of making it school-like and boring. I believe in Stephen Krashen's way of acquiring languages (like babies do). If you learned English as your second language, I will try my best to replicate that process.
