As a teacher, I think it's really important to be patient and a good listener as I think it's important to listen to my students and their needs. My goal is therefore to make the students speak providing them a very relaxing atmosphere focusing mainly on their subjects of interest so that they can feel comfortable and motivated to talk about the things they like the most.

I started teaching Swedish at Berlitz Europe in 2019, I just loved it straight away, who knew teaching could be that fun! I have delivered 4500+ lessons since 2019 and my teaching skills and confidence has improved very well. I also work as an assistant teacher at the school for adults: SFI (Swedish for immigrants) in Gävle. I teach true beginners to intermediate/advanced. I have various types of work materials that I use. I live in Gävle and I also volunteer at a language café for immigrants at The Salvation Army in Gävle.

Although I'm quite familiar with grammar and other theory, I try to teach everything through context to make it meaningful. In that way learning is engaging and fun, and it's easier to wrap one's head around things. I value that the pupil enjoys the learning process and gets to freely choose the conversation topics.

That is why I like to have a simple conversation the first lesson and ask what the student wants to study and see what level they are in. I always try to make the lesson contents according to the students level. While teaching I always try to make sure my students speaks and expresses themselves as much as possible and I'll always encourage them and also fill in the blanks to give them a little push so they won't be stopping in the middle of the sentence.
