Over 6 years of online teaching **Over 8 Years of Online Teaching Experience** Hello! My name is Mahri, and I’m a professional Russian and Persian language teacher from Turkmenistan. Russian and Turkmen are my native languages, and I also speak English, Persian (Farsi), Turkish. For almost 8 years, I have been teaching Russian, Turkmen and Persian to students from all over the world. I have lived in several countries, including Iran, where I spent eight years studying and working. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Archaeology from the University of Tehran and became fluent in Persian through both academic study and everyday life. During my university years, I also worked as a translator, translating from Russian into Persian and from Persian into Russian. I currently live in Turkey, where I am pursuing a Master's degree in Middle Eastern Prehistoric Archaeology. My international background allows me to understand the challenges language learners face and to create lessons that are practical, engaging, and tailored to each student's goals. Resul's passion for his language and culture is obvious and is something that I look for in a teacher in addition to their skill at teaching a language. Additionally, Resul has studied and learned other languages as well so he understands the learning process and what it takes to acquire the skill of speaking a new language. He provided an overview of the language, which allowed me to start to get oriented to sounds of the alphabet and obtain an overarching idea of basic grammar (vowel harmony, cases, etc). I'm very much looking forward to learning more about the history, language, and culture of Turkmenistan.

I really enjoy my lessons with Maysa. She is very friendly, well prepared and makes sure I understand everything, while also challenging me a bit. From the beginning she talked to me in Turkmen during the lessons as much as possible, what will hopefully help me to get a better feeling for the language and to learn it quite naturally. That Maysa gives homeworks and checks if I learned my vocabulary, is also a great incentive for me to learn.

I had a wonderful first lesson with Shanazar. He had resources ready for me and was able to help me learn the alphabet and basic phrases. He was even able to use his knowledge of Kyrgyz (my mother tongue is Kazakh) to compare and help me understand which was absolutely amazing and helpful. He was patient and so pleasant to work with, I look forward to learning with him.
