It seemed like the sensible path—one that promised a successful career. But something else kept pulling at me. I found myself spending more time with Urdu poetry than with programming. The beauty of the language fascinated me, and eventually I realized I was pursuing someone else's dream, not my own. So in 2011, I made what many people thought was a crazy decision: I left FAST and started over at GC University, Lahore to study Urdu. I've never regretted it. Today, I have spent more than a decade helping students from around the world discover the language I once chose over everything else.
