English Phrasal Verbs for Clothes Shopping

To put on an item of clothing in a shop to see if it fits or looks good. Example: "I tried on six dresses before I decided which one to buy."

To dress yourself in an item of clothing. Example: "You need to put on a hat, it's so cold outside!"

To remove an item of clothing you are wearing. Example: "I took my jumper off because it was too hot."

When certain items don't exist because the shop has sold all of them : "I'm sorry, we don't have any more of these shoes because they have sold out."

To return a product to the shop and get your money back because you no longer want it. Example: "I want to take this shirt back because it is too big for me."

To compare prices of a product in different shops. Example "Choosing the perfect wedding dress is very important which is why I plan to shop around before making my decision."
