Asking for help at work

To succeed in doing something, especially when that thing is difficult to achieve.

“I didn’t really get much training but I’ve been managing fine all week.”

To try to do something that you find difficult. To have difficulty doing something.

“Everyone struggles working here for their first couple of days but you’ll be fine.”

To trouble or annoy someone by interrupting them.

“Sorry to bother you but, could you help me out with something please?”

To do something kind for someone, especially something that is more than what is expected.

“Excuse me, could you do me a favor and let me know when the boss gets back.”

To help someone to do something.

“I need to go but could you give Dave a hand? I think he’s struggling.”

To give your services or resources to make it easier for someone to do something.

“We’ve been helping out with the project and the team there are almost done.”

To have just enough of something, (eg. money, time, skill, or knowledge), to succeed.

“The team has been getting by but I think we really need some specialist training.”
