Find a subject difficult too. I decided that best choice is just write. I hope the sentences will come easier and easier with the time.

Hello Dan:
Yes, it can be difficult for some to pick a subject and write about it.
Morover, attempting to debate an issue could be instructive, but not necessarily the best way to learn and practice English. Descriptive essays work well and that is what many use for practice in writing.
Also, I think that the study of a song and its English Lyrics can be very beneficial.
Have you learned any English songs?
In addition, whatever favorite subjects interest you in your own language, will naturally be the subjects you enjoy writing about and talking about for practicing English.---Warm Regards, Bruce
