When you're having a face to face conversation with someone you don't want to make them do all the work to try to 'figure out what you're trying to say.' You want a clear, flowing, natural conversation with someone. You want to learn what to say and how to say it. And chances are if you're talking with a friend or family member or coworker they aren't going to directly tell you that they didn't understand you completely. You most likely have never been told exactly what you say wrong. Most students have no idea. They know they struggle but they've never actually been told if it's pronunciation or vocabulary or sentence structure. They have never really had someone from the United States really listen to all the sounds that come out of their mouth and watch what their mouth does (If it moves much or not.) Most students are taught that pronunciation isn't important.... then they wonder why they still have such a strong accent that sounds nothing at all like American English. Here are a few ways that I can help you improve your spoken American English so you sound more clear and understandable to native English speakers. That way when you speak to someone they don't have to depend on context which can lead to confusion and mis understanding. I could have a conversation with you and point out either your pronunciation mistakes or your sentence structure mistakes depending on which you choose or you can choose to get corrections on both. You would get typed and verbal corrections from me. I could teach you pronunciation skills. For example how to pronounce short vowels, long vowels and more. I could also help you learn phrasal verbs (most students know and use some but they don't know or use many of them). Prepositions (many students forget to use these or don't use the right one. Vocabulary. I've tutored 3,618 Lessons since August of 2018. You can improve your American English speaking. Check out my tutor schedule and my tutor profile!

I recently had a very special experience because I attended my Coming of Age Ceremony, which is an important event in Japan that celebrates turning twenty years old. On that day, I wore a beautiful furisode, which is a traditional Japanese kimono with long sleeves. It was colorful, elegant, and very meaningful, because wearing a furisode symbolizes that a person has become an adult. Many people told me that I looked wonderful, and hearing so many kind words made me feel extremely happy and grateful. I realized how much support and encouragement I receive from others, and that made the day even more memorable. During the ceremony, I felt proud and excited to be entering a new stage of life. It was not only about celebrating age, but also about recognizing responsibility, independence, and dreams for the future. After the ceremony ended, I went to a reunion with my old classmates from junior high school. We had not all been together for a long time, so it was amazing to see familiar faces again. We ate delicious food, talked about our memories, and played bingo together. Everyone was laughing, and the atmosphere was warm and joyful. Later in the evening, we continued talking for hours, even until late at night. We shared stories about our lives, our goals, and how much we have changed since middle school. Even though time has passed, the friendships still felt strong. I was reminded of how important these connections are. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am very thankful that I was able to create such precious memories.
