1. The Cyrillic script looks cool and has this vintage look to it. I would like to be able to read and write it. 2. Russian deserves, in my opinion, the award for the best-sounding language. 3. The Russian grammar is complex and exotic, and I love grammar. 4. Russian people are cool (might just be a stereotype). Knowing the language is the gate to understand the people. It is just fascinating to see the interplay between the language of a nation and the mentality of its people. 5. Not the least historically, Russia has always fascinated me.

Hmmm... It was a coincidence! I had a conversation with someone from Russia, then I got curious to know more about the culture and the language. I fell in love with both of them! And another reason was music. The twins, Rauf and Faik, are so popular in Egypt and the Arab world. Once I'd started listening to their songs, I got so excited to learn the language so I could sing and understand their songs without translation. I'm still at the very beginning though :)

Russian sounds very cute, especially when women speak. Very few Japanese know Russian. So, it seems special for me. Ciliric letters are very cool!! I want to know Russian culture by communicating with Russian people.

When I first sign up for italki, most of the people who came to talk with me were Russian. I got to meet one of them in person (crazy story), that's when I decided to learn Russian, but then this person was the one who also made me lose any interest and effort I had in learning it. In conclusion, learning Russian never was in my taste, I think It was just the moment.
