[je dois rentrer.] &[ je vais rentre.] 都是用在回家(限定回家)對嗎?They are all used for going home (limited to going home), right? 那[我要回去了](不限定回家,回去公司,回去某一個地方)要怎麼說? Then what should I say if [I want to go back ](not limited to going home, going back to the company, going back to a certain place)?

Hello Cher, -Yes, both sentences can be use to refer that you are going home. Je dois rentrer & Je vais rentrer: Most of the time, those sentences imply that the person who is talking is going to his/her house, because they are use a lot in this kind of context, but it is not limited to. You can actually use those sentences when you just go inside a building, shop or any interiors Example: je dois rentrer (chez moi) or je dois rentrer (dans la boutique) -If you want to say “I want to go back” in any context, they are several way of saying it. Examples: - Je veux repartir dans ce cinémas : I want to go back in this cinema - Je veux revenir à Paris : I want to go back to Paris - Je veux retourner à la bijouterie : I want to go back in the jewellery store. Meaning -Repartir is coming from the verbe “partir: to go/to leave” and “re” refers to repeat something. repartir = go again -Retourner is coming from the verbe “tourner: to turn” With “re” repartir = turn again. Here it is more an expression of going back somewhere -Revenir is coming from the verbe “venir: to come” Revenir = come again Hope it will help you to understand.

Hi, 1. "je dois rentrer" & "je vais rentrer" => they are both used for going home or going inside a house/a building. 2. Then what should I say if [I want to go back ](not limited to going home, going back to the company, going back to a certain place)? => You should use either the verb "revenir" or "retourner". Hope this helps! Have a good day Mathilde REVENIR = to come back to the place you are when you are speaking. Ex : I loved my holiday here so much, I'll come back next year = J'ai adoré mes vacances ici, je reviendrai l'année prochaine. RETOURNER = to come back to the place you are NOT when you are speaking. Ex : Every year we go to the sea, near Marseille (and you are currently in Paris when you say this) = On retourne chaque été à la mer, près de Marseille.
