I'm speaking as a Turkish citizen, as someone who once had no idea or interest in the economy. However, considering all of the economic turmoils we've experienced for the past couple of years, I decided to learn more. So, our government has been trying to fight against foreign currency, and they keep lowering interest rates which eventually causes very high inflation. Since Turkey is a developing country, our economy should be flexible, right? And we need to get investment into our market. However, their policy is hard to understand. They try to cut off Western currency while opening the doors to the east, aka UAE, Quatar, and even Japan and China. The issue is that they don't do it with any plan in mind. Rather, they make last-minute decisions to save the moment. And that's why the policy is unreliable. It's unpredictable. That's why I decided to learn about investment. Turks do not have a long-term investment culture. As a community, we constantly struggle with inflation and prefer short-term investments. Generally we invest in gold, foreign currency, or property. However, I think such investments are somewhat outdated. I decided to learn the stock market, but it is difficult to grasp how the stock market works in Turkey. That's why I need channels through which I can learn about the general operation of the stock market; through which I can research the reliability of companies and decide which are worth the risk. Do you have any recommendations?
