Hi, there Do you use “dirt” as a verb in English? Or just “get something dirty” Examples “I just did the dishes, so don’t go dirtying another one right now” “Who dirties (up) the most laundry at your house?/Who gets the most laundry dirt at your house?” “He just got another dish dirty” or “He just dirtied another dish” If they all sound odd, what verbs could I use instead? Thank you

To dirt isn't the verb. To dirty is.

“to dirty” is a verb and is also what you used in your examples

"Who gets the most laundry dirt at your house?” is the only incorrect sentence. Dirt should be dirty. An alternate verb that means "to get dirty" is "to soil". You can simply replace "dirty" with "soil" in all of your examples.

Fernando nesse caso vc deve formar a frase de outra maneira, sem tentar traduzir ao pé da letra. Eu nunca vi ‘dirty’ sendo usado como um verbo, mas sim em combinação com o get. Tu poderia dizer ‘I’ve just washed the dishes, please try not to get any more dirty for today.’ ‘You just got another plate dirty, so now I need to do the dishes again’ ‘Who is the person who needs more washing of clothes in the house (per week/month)?
