I want you to edit every single word if I made mistakes or unnatural. I appreciate your "picky"comment! MAMEMAKI is a kind of traditional and annual event taken place in Feb. in which you throw beans/MAME to inside and outside of your house. People believed that MAME would block bad future to come in and keep good luck inside of your house. Then after throwing all, you pick up them in the house and eat them. That would get you to stay healthy through the year. I did it every year when I was a kid, but now people, especially young, feels "Eww" to eat something touching on the floor. "That would make you sick!" they say.

MAMEMAKI is a traditional event that takes place every February, during which you throw beans/MAME at your your house, both inside and out. People believed that MAME would prevent bad fortune from entering, and keep good luck inside of your house. Then after throwing all the MAME, you pick them up in the house and eat them. This would keep you healthy throughout the year. I did it every year when I was a kid, but now many people, especially the young, feel disgusted by eating something off the floor. I hope this helps! This is my first time doing this so I am not sure if I changed too much. Your original was also very good and easy to understand, I just changed it to sound more natural like you requested! :)
