Sketchtravel by Japanese artist Daisuke Tsutsumi and French illustrator Gerald Guerlais, published in 2011. Sketchtravel is a sketchbook that traveled almost 8000 miles and 12 countries. Its journey took 4 years, and it was delivered from hand to hand, without mail delivery. 71 exceptional illustrators, animators, and comic book artists from North and South America, Europe, and Asia participated in this project. It’s more than a sketchbook, it’s all about sharing ideas and inspiration and building connections between artists. Despite its universality, it doesn't show the cultural differences but only great imagination and creativity. The original book was sold at auction for a Charity Association which artists chose.
