Well, in Germany students have a lot of different holidays.
A new school year starts after six weeks of summer holidays, followed by holidays in autumn, that are two week long.
Of course we also have christmas holidays, which last most of the time for one and a half week.
In February students have winter holidays.
If these holidays are one or two weeks long, depends on the federal state. It's the same with easter and pentecoste.
So for example in the federal state, where i live, we have two weeks of winter, one week of easter and just one day of pentecoste holidays.
