Thanks!🙂 Mind you, if you eat dumplings in the UK you might find them very different from Asian dumplings. They're basically just balls of flour mixed with a bit of fat. 🤔

Very often, English does not translate the names of foreign-origin foods. See for example: sushi, pizza, spaghetti, pad thai, burrito, etc. Dumplings is a general catch-all word for a certain type of food, and potstickers are pretty much the same. Names of specific styles (i.e. gyoza, momo) are also commonly used. Though I've never heard jiaozi used in English.

I am not aware of another name other than the Chinese, jiaozi. 饺子.
