This is my assignment relating to the summary of of human bondage( chapter 1-7) I would appreciate it if someone can help me correct it. The story began with a scenario: a boy nestled by his dying mother side. Then he was forced to depart from his mother. A few days later, his mother died from illness, he became an orphan. According to the law, he was obliged to live with his uncle William who was childless and disliked Philip at the beginning. After Philip’s nurse Emma was quitted because of Philip poor financial condition, he went on a vocation with his uncle and aunt to a fishing village named Blackstable, where his uncle’s family spent their holiday on. In this village, Philip experienced the life of this village: went to church and listened to those sermons, hung out with vicar’s wife and learned many funny stories happened in this village. At the same time, he learned a great deal about his family and parents from other conversations. He also received a stack of photographs of his mother shot before she died which was touching. What’s more, his uncle and aunt taught him piano, mathematics. As time went by, Philip got accustomed to his uncle’s family life. His relationship with his uncle’s family was improving.
