Hi ! I want to know what is the difference of "itu" and "ini" in malay? when should we use itu and when should we use ini?

ini (in english THIS)
itu ( in english THAT)
(ini) menunjukkan sesuatu yang dekat
(itu) menunjukkan sesuatu yang jauh

'Itu' means that. To show a place, time, people or thing that far away from us.
'Ini' means this. To show a place, time, people or thing close to us.
Example : Rantai itu sungguh mahal.
Example : Kucing ini milik saya.
