I've heard many times children saying they want to be an adult, and adults saying they wish they were a child again. Because of it, I think it's quite important to enjoy each "stage" of life. Not everybody gets to do that.
I get how exciting it can be thinking about the future, imagining our ideal lives and all of that. And that's okay, as a child I used to love imagining myself travelling, having my own house to do "whatever" I wanted and having a million dollars to buy all the things I wished:). And, to this day, I still picture myself having good things. But, in my opinion we have to also bear in mind that we are here right now and we have things to be happy about right now.
This thought also works for adults, I know how hard it is to avoid regretting the past, what we didn't do or enjoy. It's hard to avoid thinking about our fears and uncertainty. But we also have our present, and we can spend it doing things that fulfill our hearts and make us feel valuable<3 Thank you for reading.
