Good morning, I'm transcribing a video and I found this phrase "It's when you take turn your sign, it's when you give up most of what you want", comes from this clip: https://youtu.be/hYip_Vuv8J0?t=45 Min 00:45 approx I would really like to understand that expresion, I would really appreaciate it :)

I've never heard that expression. The auto generated subtitles have decided that the girl is saying that but YouTube subtitles aren't always accurate, especially when it is a child speaking quickly as is the case in the video. I'm hearing 'It when you take turns it into something' which isn't a complete sentence. She started her second sentence before finishing the first one.

I think the little girl was confused and didn't speak the right way. You can notice it by the comment from the woman right after. Maybe she wanted to say "It is when you exchange something that you no longer want". That's my guess. Good luck!

I think she got confused with what she was saying and tried to say "take turns," which is a common expression. If we go on a long drive and you drive the car for an a few hours, then I drive, then you drive, we are "taking turns driving". The lady asks her after if she means "trade" (instead of taking turns).

She a kid slurring her words. I'm fairly positive what she really said was. "It's when you take turns doing something."
