《BLACKPINK tops Billboard Artist 100 chart for first time》 K-pop girl band BLACKPINK has topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart. This milestone moment is adding a tailwind to the band who recently claimed No.2 on the Billboard 200 chart.  Billboard announced October 13 (local time) that BLACKPINK  jumped 65 places to the first spot on the Artist 100 chart, mainly boosted by the release of their first studio album "The Album," which came out early this month.  It was the first time for the K-pop act to take over this chart. Furthermore, it was the first time for a girl band to be No.1 on it since its first release in 2014. The Billboard Artist 100 chart ranks pop stars by evaluating their total sales of albums and singles, airplay, streaming figures, and relevance on social media platforms.
