What is your reason for learning multiple languages? Is it for fun? A goal you want to achieve? Are you a world traveler? I feel like some people have this misconception that everyone single person in this world wants to learn multiple languages or needs to learn multiple languages. In reality for most, they don't need to learn multiple languages. Especially those living in the US if they don't plan on traveling or their job isn't taking them over seas. Very few people I know in my life are interested in learning more than two languages as a hobby. For me personally... after being in elementary school, middle school, high school, community college and university.... as an adult in my mid 30's now..if I want to learn something as an adult.. I want to have a serious interest in it. A real passion for it. For example... Welsh. I'd love to learn some Welsh phrases because my dad was born in Wales and so were his parents and his brothers. Welsh is important to me because it's part of my background. I actually hope someday that I could travel there to see where my dad was born. Along with a few other countries that I hope to someday travel to for a vacation.
