Hi! In Spanish, can ‘encontrar’ and ‘hallar’ be used interchangeably?
I want to say many young people find themselves sending multiple job applications at a time
But I have used encontrar quite a lot in my writing so was wondering if hallar can be used instead?

Son palabras sinónimas, entonces ambas funcionan en la frase que tratas de decir.
Muchas personas jóvenes se encuentran enviando muchas solicitudes de trabajo al mismo tiempo.

Hello!
Yes, absolutely, they mean exactly the same thing. However "hallar" is more formal and less commonly used than "encontrar". In everyday conversation you would never say "por fin hallé mis gafas", you would say "por fin encontré mis gafas".
I hope to have helped you!
