Reckless is carelessness by not reckoning for your actions. 'Rechnen' in German is to calculate, and in English is 'to think' 'to assess'.
It is not thinking of consequences, not thinking of what could happen, and so, not being careful to avoid accidents/problems.

The term “reckless driving” is used as is to refer to driving that may cause danger to other cars or people or property! I believe we’d use “reckless driving” as a term though you can use synonyms like: careless, rash or thoughtless if you’d just like to use “reckless.” Hope this helps Nanako :)
