to respect and admire someone or something very much.
Example; he is revered for his wisdom.

Hi, revere means you feel deep respect for someone and admire them.
You could use it in a sentence like this "I revere my science professor, his research is groundbreaking"
Personally, I don't see this word used very often though. I think people say respect instead.
