In fact, in a country where the older workers still hold positions, there remains no vacancy for the young people. Therefore, if people are required to give up their positions, opportunities will be created for the young to fill their position. Secondly, a decrease in the age of retirement also will be to companies' benefit as well. Studies show that productivity decrease with age. This is because old workers may feel stuck in a rut, so they do not tend to look for new ideas to contribute to the company. They only follow the routine. However, young workers are full of passion and fresh ideas but are out of work. Therefore, by lowering the age of retirement, companies can take advantage of young workforces.
