There is a debate about whether people should retire by age 65. From my perspective, it depends on the living condition and it can be impossible to give a prescription to entire countries. Generally speaking, it seems that it would be a useful policy if there put into action. Frist of all, it will help the number of jobless youths decline. The high rate of unemployment seizes the collar of more or less all societies in the world. One of its main reason is the high retirement age. In fact, in a country where the elder workers still hold positions, there remains no vacancy for the young people. Therefore, if people are stipulated to give up their position, opportunities will be created for the young to fill their position. Secondly, a decrease in the age of retirement also will be to companies' benefit as well. Studies show that productivity decrease with age. This is because old workers may feel stuck in a rut, so they do not tend to look for new ideas to contribute to the company. They only follow the routine. However, young workers are full of passion and fresh ideas but are out of work. Therefore, by lowering the age of retirement, companies can take advantage of young workforces.

There is a debate about whether people should retire by age 65. From my perspective, it depends on the living conditions and it is impossible to give a blanket prescription for entire countries. Generally speaking, it seems that it would be a useful policy if it was implemented. First of all, it will help the number of jobless youths decline. The high rate of unemployment has seized more or less all societies by the collar. One of the main reasons is the high retirement age. In fact, in a country where elderly workers still hold positions, there remains no vacancy for the young people. Therefore, if people are stipulated to give up their position, opportunities will be created for the new generation to fill these vacancies. Secondly, a decrease in the age of retirement will also be to companies' benefit. Studies show that productivity decreases with age. This is because old workers may feel stuck in a rut, so they do not tend to look for new ideas to contribute to the company. They might merely follow the protocol. Meanwhile, young workers who are full of passion and fresh ideas are out of work. Therefore, by lowering the age of retirement, companies can take advantage/tap into the potential of this younger workforce.
Good work 👍
