I'm currently trying this little exercise to train my speaking skills in English: I read out loud a text to a speech-to-text online tool (I chose, but any one of those tools will do), and if the transcribed text is similar to the original text, then I'm satisfied... A harder variation on this exercise is speaking freely to the text-to-speech tool and see if you can understand the transcript. Free speech is usually less structured than a written text, especially if it's not in your native language, but trying to be understood by a machine is good preparation for being understood by humans.

One nice feature with you can replay your speech and see it was transcribed. If some words weren't properly recognized, then you can hear your pronunciation again and understand what was the problem.
