ASL practice buddies! I really need people to practice asl with. I'm learning on my own and it's not sticking without the practice. I'm definitely a beginner though I've been trying to learn for a while. Is anyone willing to chat with me so I can practice?

Hello Elisabeth!  I'm also looking for someone to practice ASL with!  I've taken an ASL class before but, like you, it's not sticking.  I think ASL is a beautiful language and I'd love to practice with you.

Hi Elisabeth! I know what you mean, when I started learning I was doing  lot of solo practice and I wasn't retaining much. It wasn't until I started signing with others that the vocabulary started sticking more. I have been signing for almost 8 years, have a degree in ASL/Deaf Studies, and just started tutoring here on iTalki! I'm interested in working with you in any capacity, so if you're still trying to learn let me know! I need practice tutoring so this could be great for both of us! Thanks, Jesse

I'm fluent in ASL and am an informal tutor. I am also Deaf, so what better way to learn than from a Deaf person ;)
