International Astronomy Day The International Astronomy Day was on 21.4.
Do you want to go to space someday?
Do you love watching documentaries and reading about universe?
Do you love stargazing?
What's your favorite star and planet?
What's your favorite fact about space?

Edit: BTW, if you're wondering why I'm posting this so late: when I wrote this discussion 3 minutes ago, I thought 21.4 was TODAY :D

You mean, planetoid Pluto sir! ;)

There is nothing as beautiful as the Horsehead nebula I think:

My favorite planet is Jupiter, because it is bright and easy to see. It's not as bright as Venus, but it is still brighter than any star, so it's easy to recognize. It is visible most of the time--if it's not visible in the early evening, it's visible before dawn. It's often nice and high up in the sky, so I can see it in my neighborhood where the horizon is blocked by trees and houses.

And I like it because it is so big that you can see a visible disk--just barely--in binoculars--and with my small telescope I can actually see that it not perfectly round but slightly oval, I can see the four "Galilean satellites" looking like little stars that are always in a straight line. One night, when I stayed up late, I was able to look at Jupiter through a small telescope at about 7 pm and then again later at about 1 am. I was able to see the red spot, and I could see that it had moved between 7 pm and 1 am--so I was able to see, from my own observations, that Jupiter rotates.

My favorite planet is the Earth, as she is at mountainy places under the starry sky. As well the Mars, I'm really fascinated by discerning photos of his landscapes fetched from rovers. The further planets look little scary for a man, except a Saturn's satellite the Titan.
Also it's interesting to watch at Andromeda's nebula, especially in a binocular. There are several galaxies in this region (near Pegasus constellation) Triangle's galaxy for instance.
There are also such a phenomenon as nebuli, which are left after supernovas -- the clouds of hot gas spread on dozens of light years. It would be interesting to live on some heaven planetoid body at there's. Nothing would interfere of watch the starry sky, neither the Sun, nor the Moon.

I say that Pluto is a planet regardless of what the astronomers say! Long live Pluto!
