If you're already in Japan, I suggest not paying for lessons via italki due to lack of complete structure. It's good practice for people who aren't living there, but you have many opportunities over there that don't cost except for transportation. I suggest utilizing http://www.meetup.com or maybe even craigslist or just any group get together or event that encourages you to speak. If you need more structure to go off of before you go out and talk to people, any book store you go into has a section for language learning, both for english language learners and japanese language learners. There's one store in Tokyo station called Maruzen that has an all english department on their top floor where you can find Japanese Language learning materials (I don't know about the prices though because it is bumped up for foreign goods but you can check that out if you're in Tokyo). I lived there for four years. You just need to get out there.
