1) America is industrially powerful, mentally strong and militarily dangerous!
2) The USA is able to bring and absorb a lot of the best professionals from the whole of the globe. And this makes #1 even more and more strong.
3) Luckily the top class American politicians generally have a relatively high level of ethical standards. Probably that isn't inherited quality from the birth but rather learned because of the wise well balanced political system.
4) Who doesn't respects America or doesn't care relationships with America, please see #1! ;-)
5) Any kind of anti-American propaganda (communists, left professors, russian, Islamists, etc) results only that Americans abroad call themselves Canadians often ;-)

I like America. It has plenty to recommend it. A lot of talk concerns Trump thesedays. He is neither here nor there, altho he is not the fool he is portrayed to be. I've always found Americans to be very positive and friendly.
I like their books and films, too. I really hate to say it, but I think their comedy films are better than the British. However, Twain excepted, the Brits beat them in comedy writing. My favorite physics books come from Berkley, Ca, from the sixties or seventies. Oddly enough, from the hippy era, a great movement and good time to be alive. My favourite maths book comes from NY.
I would like to visit it one day; maybe to Virginia or Kentucky, and the Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico as I like caves.

I like current American president, Donald Trump. In a way, he is brutal bull with rudeness but on the other hand, he is a straightforward politician who is going on with his sense to create his times.
It goes without saying nowadays the US government holds a great power to have profound influence on many countries of the world. Even some do not like America or current American politician, there is no denying most countries have to keep good relationship with this country.

If I speak honestly about the political aspect (and you ask about political aspect) of the problem, I'd say a deal of dirt about many countries. Yours and mine among them.
