I do not know about all latins, but I am from Brazil and the people are very warm here. All gringos that come to here say it.

Yes. I agree. I from brazil and, here when we meeting foreings, generally we speak so much, we use the kisses and huges to meet. But, when the foreing is latin, this is very natural, like brothers that was far away for a long time, And the talk flow. But, when is american or european it is strange, they are a stone ice.
