it is always a question for me why native english like to abbreviation phrases and make new words. i just know english and i don't know about other languages.  one day i ask my masters why english speakers abbreviate every phrase and i don't know he was serious or not but he said english speakers don't like talk a lot and they are a little lazy in this matter. for example why U.S or U.K??? is it hard to tell it completely ? and thousands other abbreviations.

and this trend spread all over the world now it is a trend in every languages and recently i hear in Farsi we abbreviate the Farsi phrases.

by the way i think if english speakers weren't lazy and don't abbreviate everything we can find the root and history of OK.

I've read numerous explanations of "OK" and I've come to the conclusion that, frustrating as it is, nobody really knows and none of the stories are reliable. It definitely originated in the United States.

"Orl Korrect" is one common explanation.

The other one is that the US President, Martin van Buren, was nicknamed "Old Kinderhook" and that "OK" has something or other to do with him or his political campaign.

I hear different story about OK:
