I always use epistemology to determine if something is true before I believe it. Why do we think it's true? Is it based on feelings or are there real facts to back it up? Could someone else in a different position has a different point of view about the outcome and be right as well? I'd suggest listening to Street Epistemology You Tube videos...I'm guessing there is one on this subject matter. It covers Karma, superstitions, homosexuality, and much much more.
So, personally, I do not believe. I believe, people equate these things based on a feeling/opinions versus facts. Someone with a different outlook could come to the same conclusions.
It's hard to believe that the positions of stars and planets predict our life, let alone influencing it.
I mean, some of these are pretty cyclic, aren't they? So there should be some evidence gathered.
However, I could accept that people born in the same month generally share some of their traits.
I don't know how correct it is, but studies have found that people are affected by the season in which they were born.
