Idiomatic Expression

As an English learner, I really love learning idiomatic expression, it's so crazy to see how crazy are those expression and most of the time it doesn't make sense at all when we translate it word to word.

So, let us know some of your favorites idiomatic expression of your target language, and your native language in English.

Nice discussion. Just to clarify: "Jumping the fence" refers to cheating on your partner in a romantic relationship, not a business partner, right?

@Toby,

Hahaha that's interesting, it doesn't make sense to me.

Is it Russian expression?

@Phil,

You're right, it refers just for a romantic relationship.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake.
