I am resting this morning. It's 9:35am here in Ohio. During lunch my husband will be home so we'll be eating together. This afternoon I have some lessons scheduled so I'll be tutoring.

What kind of tea Alf? (as a baby from the 1980's your icon is awesome)
Language learner in my opinion the difference is a discussion is when you pick a specific topic and discuss the opinions of that topic. Chatting is more casual and relaxed and random. Other people here might have different opinions on what the difference is.
