Do you miss your target language (if you start learning another)?
Have you ever felt an attachment to a language you're learning?

I'm learning Ukrainian, but someone once told me to try Polish because it was so similar to Ukrainian. I thought, "Okay, I'll give it a shot."

Sure, similar. But not really. The alphabet and accents are a whole different ballgame. Some words are close, others are completely different. Because the Roman alphabet is used, I had to look at it without thinking English but not even in Ukrainian.

I'm sure there are more reasons, but I felt.... scared, alone, tired, hungry.... I wanted my Ukrainian. I want my beautiful Cyrillic alphabet. It's as if I want an old friend back. So I stopped with Polish, and carried on with Ukrainian. :)

Have you ever tried a new language but you started missing your target language like this?
